First, there is the fact that Sharron Angle was ahead – and gaining steam – in all major polls before the election, and that comparable polling data accurately predicted race outcomes in analogous races (see Free Republic).
Paul Joseph Watson of Prison Planet further explains, at Dark Politricks‘ blog:
“Four separate Rasmussen polls prior to the election had Angle ahead. Two weeks before Super Tuesday, she held a 50% to 47% lead over Reid. One week prior to voting, on October 26, her lead was extended to four points, with Angle at 49% and Reid at 45%.”
“To have a nine point swing, from Angle enjoying a four point lead just a week before the election, to Reid winning the seat by a clear five points, is highly suspicious…Nine points is not within the margin of error for polls, especially those conducted by Rasmussen, which is considered to be one of if not the most credible polling agency.”
Then there were reports of voting machines that were automatically checking Harry Reid’s name, the same voting machines that were serviced by pro-Harry Reid, pro-Democrat Service Employees International Union members. These voting machines have received undeserved (or deserved, depending on one’s perspective) support from Harry Reid, even though they are the same “100 percent unverifiable, error-prone, hackable, illegally-certified, electronic voting systems the state forces all voters to use at the polling place.” The voting machine issues were observed in Clark County, “where three quarters of Nevada’s residents and live and where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s son Rory is a county commissioner.”
Then, as reported in The Washington Examiner, there were casinos, like Harrah’s and MGM (remember this, my friends, next time you are in Nevada), who engaged in extraordinary measures to get their employees to vote, as instructed by a Harry Reid staffer: who “told Harrah’s it needed to ‘put a headlock’ on its supervisors ‘to get them to follow through.’” Further, “This plea was distributed to senior executives throughout the company by a Harrah’s vice president, Marybel Batjer. Batjer demanded that those executives ‘do whatever we need to do to get the supervisors to know that there is NOTHING more important than to get employees out to vote. Waking up to a defeat of Harry Reid Nov 3rd will be devastating for our industry’s future.’”
“Harrah’s did just that, getting headcounts and insisting that supervisors explain why their employees had not yet voted. They also coordinated with employee unions to get buses and shuttles to take the employees to the polls.
“This was not a situation where a corporation was simply encouraging its employees to go to the polls and vote for their candidate of choice — Harrah’s was telling its employees how important it was to elect Reid, setting up a whole system to coerce its employees to vote, even making records of who had not voted.
“Both Harrah’s and the unions spend money, in terms of supervisor and employee resources on company time, and the cost of shuttles, etc., not merely in a nonpartisan way to get out the vote, but to facilitate votes for Reid.”
Finally, there is the illegal immigrant issue. From an alert issued by Americans for Legal Immigration PAC:
“The reports and indications also suggest the presence of non citizen voters comprised of legal and illegal immigrants voting in elections. It is a felony for any non citizen to vote in a US election and while the scale of involvement is unknown it could be very substantial in some areas including North Carolina, Nevada, Colorado, and Washington state. In many of these areas, Democratic candidates campaigned and appealed to illegal aliens, and deployed illegals to bring out similar voters.
The Democratic ‘Get Out The Vote’ (GOTV) mechanisms have no interest or ability to discern voters who are American citizens versus non citizens.”
One wonders if Harrah’s and MGM expended the effort to insure that all of their Nevada employees are legal immigrants.
An investigation into the Nevada Senate election is underway, headed by http://www.peoplev.us, and is focused on uncovering polling errors and election anomalies (their organization/website is dedicated to repealing Obamacare, but they are also investigating the Nevada Senate race). The purpose of the investigation is to determine whether or not the People of Nevada received a fair and impartial election. If it can be proven that the People of Nevada did not, appropriate actions will be taken to attempt to rectify the situation. Anyone wishing to donate to assist them in their investigation is encouraged to do so by visiting http://peoplev.us/election.aspx and clicking on the donation tab. $500,000 is needed for the investigative portion, and more will be needed for the legal and marketing portion, should anomalies be uncovered.

Some voters in Boulder City complained on Monday that their ballot had been cast before they went to the polls, raising questions about Clark County’s electronic voting machines.
Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked.
Ferrara said she wasn’t alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen.
“Something’s not right,” Ferrara said. “One person that’s a fluke. Two, that’s strange. But several within a five minute period of time — that’s wrong.”__________________________________
From Sharron’s campaign attorney, Cleta Mitchell (received via campaign e-mail, excerpts):
I have some very grave news for you. We are leading Harry Reid in the polls and meeting our early vote goals–and yet, Sharron Angle could still lose.
As Sharron Angle’s campaign attorney, I am sorry to report that the Democrats and their cronies are up to their same old tricks, of trying to manipulate the election in hopes of skewing the results in their favor.
Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided “free food” at “voter turnout events.” Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers’ unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid.
Before we were even able to document the reported infractions to report to the authorities, the Democrat Secretary of State slammed the door shut on preventing this behavior and issued a public statement permitting these ACORN-style tactics. THESE are the kinds of shenanigans that can turn this race.
…What Harry Reid is doing is clearly illegal. Nevada law (NRS 293.700) provides that, “A person who bribes, offers to bribe, or use and other corrupt means, directly or indirectly, to influence any elector in giving his or her vote or to deter the elector from giving it is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.”
We’ve seen evidence of this sort of voter ‘enticement’ by groups such as ACORN – where, in 2008, two ACORN workers in Milwaukee were accused of offering pre-paid gasoline cards or restaurant gift cards to people in exchange for registration.
John Fund wrote in his book Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy, cited reports from the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader (South Dakota) and the election in 2004, where certain residents were quoted saying that “people on the streets were saying you go vote, they would give you gas money, $10, maybe a pack of cigarettes…”
Now, this week in Las Vegas, at our election hotline, we received reports that some teachers’ union representatives were offering Starbucks cards to people to get them to vote for Harry Reid. It is even more disturbing and may be possible that they are using their influence and authority as educators to entice students on behalf of Reid.
The right to vote is a precious one – and it carries with it somber responsibilities. The Democrats’ willingness to allow voters to be enticed with a promise of any thing of value is a debasement of the process…

But, Harry Reid still cannot bring himself to “man up” and admit that he was horrible at the debate.
Yesterday, in another one of Harry’s moments of delusion, Reid said he wasn’t aware of any journalists or pundits who declared Sharron the winner.
Ok…there were several, but I don’t want to overload you, Harry. Let me give you one. Just one.
And it happens to be the one guy that the ENTIRE national press corps turns to on a DAILY basis to handicap this Nevada U.S. Senate race.
Read the words from Jon Ralston very slowly, Harry: “Sharron Angle won The Big Debate.”
I understand — it was the second sentence of Ralston’s column — maybe Harry didn’t read that far.
In that case, here was the headline of that column which appeared in Harry Reid’s favorite local paper, the Las Vegas Sun: “Reid lost the debate to Angle”
For good measure Harry – you might want to read today’s column too: “Aghast, still, at Reid’s inability to control debate.”
Oh, and it was also interesting to read that the debate wasn’t Harry’s only bad performance lately. Harry’s meeting with the Mormon Business Associates was described as a “blood bath”, while Sharron’s was described as a “love fest”.
Harry, ask David Gergen if he thinks you won that one too.

Behind in the polls, Harry Reid got more bad news today.
Sharron raised $14.3 million in the third quarter and has had over 194,000 individuals donate to her campaign so far. This is one of the most successful quarters by a Senate campaign in history. As Chuck Todd put it, there are presidential campaigns that will struggle to meet that number in 2012.
There are no signs of our support slowing as we head into the final stretch. Our online fundraising goal for October is 2 million dollars, and we have already raised over $875,000, well ahead of schedule.
As Sharron leads in the polls, people all across America are willing to help Sharron Angle. This truly is the new “People’s Seat.”
Making the total more impressive is the number of low-dollar donors. It’s a grassroots campaign like no other.

“…But now explosive statements about Mormons by Angle’s longtime pastor* are causing the Republican candidate and Tea Party champion more headaches as her campaign enters the home stretch.
“Pastor John Reed of Sonrise Church in Reno, a non-denominational, evangelical-style church where Angle was an active member for many years, calls Mormonism a ‘cult’ and Reid, the majority leader and a Mormon, ‘a powerful person in a cult’ whose position should ‘alarm’ people.”
Now Sharron Angle has a pastor problem?? How is it equivalent to compare a pastor who blames America for 9/11 by exclaiming, “America’s chickens are coming home to roost!”, and “God damn America!” with a pastor who explains that Mormonism is a cult? Most of mainstream Christianity and America believe that Mormonism is a cult.
Nevertheless, if Mike Huckabee (a Christian not-so-fiscally-conservative “conservative“: “His critics say that when Huckabee was governor of Arkansas, he was a big spender and a big taxer“) were running against Glenn Beck (a Mormon, and a real fiscal conservative), I would vote for Glenn Beck. Does the Mormon issue stop David Barton, a devout Christian, from joining forces with Glenn Beck (a Mormon) and even appearing as a regular guest on his show? It does not. Is it relevant for this election whether or not Harry Reid is a Mormon? It is not.
What IS relevant is this: Which candidate most closely espouses God’s most fundamental value: liberty? God so loved liberty (and us) that He allowed the fall of the entire human race because of it. As our Founders said in the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator (yes, BY THEIR CREATOR, President Obama) with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Thomas Jefferson said, “The God who gave us life gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.” As my pastor, John Kirkwood (http://www.gracebeliever.com), said, in explaining that God, although He could, does not force us to love or serve Him: “Without free will [liberty], God isn’t God. What do you call forced love? Answer: rape. What do you call forced servitude? Answer: slavery”.
Without liberty, the rest doesn’t matter. And by his actions, Harry Reid has indicated that liberty is NOT one of his fundamental values.
*As an aside, Sarah Palin reported in Going Rogue how the press would hound her friends and acquaintances in any attempt to dig up dirt on her. Her friends would attempt to defend her and afterward be dismayed at how their comments, meant to defend her, were twisted to make her look bad. Therefore, a word or two of advice to Sharron’s friends/pastors: don’t do press interviews on behalf of/in defense of Sharron Angle.
I was in Washington DC a few weeks ago and was invited by Sharron Angle to observe her interview with Fox News’ Brett Baier in the studio. She did a great job articulating conservative principles in the interview, especially defending returning to LOCAL control the functions of the EPA, Department of Education, Department of Energy, etc. Because, according to the tenth Amendment, only the enumerated powers listed in the Constitution are reserved for the Federal Government. The rest are reserved for the states or other local authority. She is right on.
But I was particularly struck by something she said in passing off-camera. Someone on the Fox team remarked to her that she would possibly be moving to Washington DC. She said, “No, I’m not moving here; I’m just a visitor here. My responsibility is to the people of Nevada.” She also remarked to me that to guard against becoming out-of-touch with Nevada, it was very important to her that she NOT live in DC.
Sharron once wrote on a related topic, incumbency, in a book draft she was considering publishing (quoted with permission):
“One of the reasons our nation is in such great trouble is that the legislative branches of state and national governments have been populated by professional, career politicians. This was never intended by our founders, and the problem is very simple. The interests of career politicians are never aligned with the interests of the folks back home. To have a career and job security, the politician must first bow to the demands of those powerful forces that can get him or her re-elected.
“The first priority of the career politician is protecting the incumbency. The ideal to serve for a few years to share the burden of representation on behalf of their communities as the Founders intended has long been abandoned. It has been replaced be those wanting full-time employment in government and having a desire to change our culture and governance along the leftist lines prevalent in most educational institutions. Since the sixties, schools have been teaching that government is too complex for amateurs and should be entrusted only to professionals who have absorbed the faddish teachings of this era.
“Protecting incumbency requires extensive fund raising, political alliances, competent image makers and campaign managers. None of these things are consistent with representing the genuine interests of the folks back home. On the other hand, the paybacks to that coalition often require selling out the interests of the folks back home in favor of such lobbyists and power brokers. Also disgracefully, politicians have subsequently rigged a self-serving system of enormous rewards and benefits, travel both foreign and domestic, gold-plated health care coverage, generous salaries and allowances, pensions representing full salaries for life after short periods of service, and power and prestige which rivals that of royalty – all motivations to hold on to their ‘careers’ at any cost.”
Sharron Angle is not interested in becoming one of the Washington elite. She is interested in serving “We the People“. God-speed, Sharron Angle.

“Angle: ‘I’m not sure I can win’ if Ashjian’s in, nat’l GOPers ‘have lost their principles,’ need to ‘leave me alone”
“That’s just some of what GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle said during a meeting Wednesday evening with Tea Party of Nevada candidate Scott Ashjian and Tea Party of Nevada Chairman Sid James at the home of Richard Ziser, who lost to Harry Reid in 1994 and now is an adviser to the Angle campaign and also participated in the conversation.
“A tape of the 38-minute meeting that I have obtained provides a rare window into the kinds of discussions that take place during campaigns behind closed doors, redolent of the authenticity that disappears in public or in TV ads.”
Ah, yes, that would be a tape you (Jon Ralston, no friend of Sharron Angle), obtained from Scott Ashjian himself, who taped the whole conversation with Sharron Angle without her knowledge. In the interest of full disclosure, you might have revealed that in the article, Jon Ralston.
Continuing from the Las Vegas Sun:
“Angle expresses disdain for the national GOP, which she says she now has ‘in a box’ because she won the primary, which caused the DC types after her June 8 victory to still be ‘moaning and groaning and weeping and gnashing teeth over Sue Lowden.’ Later, she tries to persuade Ashjian to endorse her because she will have ‘juice’ he can tap into to get access to Sens. Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn and Mitch McConnell.
“I can just hear it now: The woman who calls the majority leader ‘Let’s Make a Deal Harry Reid’ becomes ‘Let’s Make a Deal Sharron Angle’”.
Excuse me? Access to meetings with political figures is not the same as the thuggery and bribery that Harry Reid employed to ram Obamacare through the Senate against the will of the American people, and you know it, Jon Ralston. She is promising Ashjian nothing.
And, she DID win IN SPITE OF the Republican establishment, the same Republican establishment who initially refused to endorse Christine O’Donnell. Umm, is this a shock to anyone?
Interestingly, the Tea Party Express had a message for Scott Ashjian back in March:
“We at the Tea Party Express have a message for Scott Ashjian, who has been trying to pretend that he’s part of the Tea Party movement – get lost!” says Mark Williams, chairman of the Tea Party Express, in the video. “None of us have ever heard of you or seen you at a Tea Party rally. Nothing. We think you are a fraud who’s trying to split the vote and help re-elect Harry Reid.”
Gateway Pundit sums it up nicely:
“This fraud [Ashjian] sure seems to be helping out the Reid Campaign for some odd reason.
“Fake Nevada Tea Party candidate Scott Ashjian was sued by the Independent American Party in March. The suit challenged Ashjian’s membership in the Tea Party of Nevada. He was also charged with felony theft for passing a bad check in Las Vegas this spring.
“…This afternoon Ashjian lashed out at the “racist” Tea Party Express and the Republican Party saying he would not endorse Angle or Reid in the election.
“Unfortunately, this fake tea party candidate is trying to pull votes from Sharron Angle.
…How convenient for Harry Reid.”
